Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and contractual obligations. This role ensures quality assurance, effective coordination with contractors, and timely delivery of project milestones.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure all construction works adhere to approved technical specifications, drawings, and contract terms.
• Monitor contractor activities to confirm compliance with engineering design and project standards.
• Supervise the contractor’s QA/QC program, including material testing.
• Verify that all materials meet project requirements and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor ongoing works.
• Ensure construction practices align with project plans, specifications, and industry best practices.
• Identify and document field changes, engineering modifications, and non-conformances.
• Recommend corrective actions to maintain project integrity.
• Review and evaluate the contractor’s work plan.
• Monitor adherence to project schedules and recommend adjustments where necessary.
• Develop and advise on procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering and design requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors for effective implementation.
• Collaborate with contractor engineers and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
• Maintain clear communication with project management and stakeholders.
• Be available to reside at or travel to project sites as required.
• Support project activities across multiple locations when necessary.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager or ASIO senior management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to field conditions.
